Summer Car Cruise Planning Underway for 2026
Fenton, MI: The City of Fenton and The City of Linden have been notified by the Back to the Bricks administration that the traditional Tune Up Parties that take place during the week leading up to the main event in Downtown Flint will not be taking place in either municipality for summer 2025.
Since 2010, Back to the Bricks Tune Up Parties have been held in the City of Fenton and the City of Linden. Through the coordination of Southern Lakes Parks and Recreation, these events have been a highlight of late summer celebrations with thousands of visitors coming to view classic cars lining the streets of our historic downtowns.
Although Back to the Bricks has made changes to their 2025 lineup, the City of Fenton has something big to be excited for in 2026! Plans are already underway for a summer car cruise that will bring our communities together with exciting music performances, delicious local food vendors, and, of course, hundreds of classic cars on display.
“The annual car cruise is one of the most celebrated events in Fenton each year and we will not disappoint our community. We have already begun organizing a fresh, new event that will ensure that car enthusiasts, residents, and local businesses continue to enjoy a safe, thrilling celebration that highlights our love for classic cars,” said Michael Hart, Fenton DDA Director and Assistant City Manager. “Our events are a reflection of the communities’ desire to engage with local history, arts, and culture, and we are committed to making our own car cruise event in 2026 a first-class experience.”
Summer events are right around the corner starting with the first Fenton Farmer’s Market of the season on May 15th, 2025.
