SUMMER TAXES
COUNTY, SCHOOLS & CITY
Taxes are payable without penalty from July 1, 2023 through September 15, 2023 at the City Office, 301 S. Leroy Street, Fenton, MI. From July 1st thru September 15th office hours are Monday through Thursday from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. and Friday from 8:30 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. After September 15, 2023 a 4% penalty will be added. If you do not receive a tax bill in the mail, please call City Hall at (810) 629-2261. Tax bills can be viewed and paid online at the city website, cityoffenton.org. All real property taxes which are unpaid on March 1, 2024 will be returned to the Genesee County Treasurer, 1101 Beach St. Flint, MI 48502, at which time an additional 4% will be added plus 1% interest per month.
SENIOR CITIZENS
Note: Senior Citizens, Paraplegic, Quadriplegic, Veteran, Widow, Blind Person, Totally and Permanently Disabled eligible to receive tax credit from the State of Michigan may file an affidavit to extend payment of Summer Taxes without penalty until February 29, 2024. Household income for preceding calendar year may not exceed $40,000. Affidavits must be filed by September 15, 2023. Forms are available at the City Office.
