State Bank Trail to be Surveyed
Fenton, MI: The LAFF Pathway group, in partnership with the City of Fenton, City of Linden, and Fenton Township, is creating a pathway that connects Fenton to Linden and will join with the Argentine Township Trail. While some areas of the Pathway are complete, the State Bank Trail that runs along Silver Lake Road from Jennings Road to Marl Drive is under design review and needs additional surveying.
Permitting agencies, MDOT and EGLE, are requesting additional information about the location of the pathway and have questions regarding an option to construct it on the North side of Silver Lake Road. In order to answer the questions and to explore this request, NF Engineers will be contracted by the City of Fenton for two phases of engineering surveying and design work for a total not to exceed $22,770.00 as approved unanimously by Fenton City Council.
The State Bank Trail portion of the LAFF Pathway is set to begin construction this year pending permitting and is scheduled to be open to the public in Fall of 2024. Learn more about the LAFF Pathway Phases here: http://www.laffpathways.com/
