Reminder: Ellen St. Campus is New Polling Location for All CIty Voters

Citizens in voting booths on Election Day.

The City of Fenton has a NEW Polling Location for all voters in all precincts:

Fenton Area Public Schools Ellen Street Campus – World of Wonder
404 W. Ellen Street
Fenton, MI 48430

Voting will take place in the Jennings Memorial Gym.  Parking is located on Ellen Street off Adelaide Street. Please do not park in the lot off West Street.

This begins for the primary election on Tuesday, Aug. 2.

Every ten years, based on updated Census numbers, political district maps are redrawn at the federal, state, and county levels.  That process for the next 10-year period was completed in December 2021 and, for City of Fenton voters, the district numbers for Congress, Michigan Senate, and Michigan House of Representatives are all changing.  The new district numbers for the City of Fenton are:

U.S. Congress8th District
Michigan Senate22nd District
Michigan House of Representatives72nd District
Genesee County Commissioner6th District (no change)

While these changes don’t officially take effect until the new terms of office in 2023, voters need to be notified now because races in the August 2, 2022 Statewide Primary Election, and November 8, 2022 General Election will be based on these new district numbers.

All City of Fenton voters that reside within the Lake Fenton School District are now in Precinct 5 only.  Lake Fenton voters that were previously in Precinct 1 are now all in Precinct 5.  Assistance will be available at the polls to direct you to the correct precinct.  No other precinct numbers have been changed.
