Local Development Finance Authority (LDFA) establishes the legal basis and procedure for the capture and expenditure of tax increment revenues in accordance with Michigan Public Act 281 of 1986, as amended. The LDFA facilitates projects that foster new economic growth and development that lead to the creation of new employment opportunities within the City of Fenton.

Regular Meetings

  • 2nd Thursday of each month when necessary
  • Fenton City Hall

The purpose of the LDFA is to provide for those public improvements necessary or desirable to facilitate, promote and sustain industrial development within the established district of the Local Development Finance Authority of the City of Fenton. It is the LDFA's challenge to create an environment that will promote economic development growth on properties located in the industrial district. Furthermore, the LDFA will serve as the primary instrument for developing land to augment appropriate industrial use.
