Silver Lake Park

Divider Line

Silver Lake Park is the largest park in Fenton. It is 35.4 acres and was developed in 1974. It is located at 16100 Jennings Road off of Silver Parkway. It is a remarkably diverse park with activities to suit everyone. There are ball fields, volleyball courts, horseshoe pits, two pavilions with electricity, badminton courts, play equipment for children, 300 feet of beach area with lifeguards, a bath house, concession stand, nature trails and picnic areas with grills. Silver Lake Ski Club holds performances on Tuesdays at 7 pm during the summer and park entrance fees are waived in the evening for the show. The park is open year round, but the beach is only open from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day. Outside of this time there are no fees to enter the park. During this time the fees to enter the park are as follows: Season Passes – Resident ($15), Non-resident ($23) and walker/biker ($5). Daily Passes – Car ($3), walker ($1), bus ($30) and motor home/van ($10 + .50 per passenger over ten passengers). The two pavilions are available for rental from the city offices. The fees are as follows: Resident ($35 rental fee + $25 deposit = $60 total), Non-resident ($75 rental fee + $25 deposit = $100 total, and Non-profit ($15 rental + $25 deposit = $40 total).
