Kickoff Events

  • 7:00 pm Silver Lake Ski Show at Silver Lake Park
  • 8:00 pm Grand Marshal Adult Reception: Andy Schmidt at The Fenton Hotel Tavern & Grille
  • Dusk FREE Family Movie: Pink Panther 2006 at Fenton Community & Cultural Center Grounds, Sponsored by Fenton Lions Club

Friday, July 4th

New Parade Route

The Freedom Festival Parade will begin at 10:00 AM. The route has some slight changes this year due to the Silver Lake Road Construction project. The parade will begin on Shiawassee at West Street. The parade will proceed east on Shiawassee to Adelaide, south to South Holly Road, east to Leroy St., north to Caroline St., west to Adelaide St., north to Hickory St., west to Beach St., north to Wood St. west to the St. John’s Parking Lot.

Community/Cultural Center & Gazebo Area

  • 7:00-10:00 am Pancake Breakfast (American Legion #38)
  • 8:00 am Ecumenical Sunrise Service at the Gazebo (Fenton Area Clergy)
  • 8:00 am – 3:30 pm Arts – Crafts – Vendors
  • 10:00 am Parade – rain or shine
  • Decorated Bike Parade (Fenton Optimist Club)
  • Float Judging (The Flint Journal)
  • 11:00 am – until gone Chicken BBQ, hot dogs, brats, lemonade, chips & pop (Fenton Lions Club)

Following the Parade

  • 12:30 pm Rubber Ducky Regatta (Rotary Club)
  • Children’s Games Tent (Kiwanis Club)
  • Adopt-a-Pet of Fenton

Entertainment

  • 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm Bluegrass Music – “Amazing Grace”
  • Blackberry Creek Dancers
  • Fireman Water Battle
