The City of Fenton Fire Department recently honored six of its members for saving the life of a Fenton resident.
On may 30th 2008 the department was sent to a residence in the city for a medical emergency. Once on scene the crews determined the patient to be in "cardiac arrest", and intiated CPR. They also shocked the patient three times with the departments AED.
The patient was transported, and admitted to the hospital with a pulse and a blood pressure.
The Patient has since returned home, and was at the City Council meeting where the awards were presented to the firefighters, and said "thank you" to the firefighters that saved her life.
The firefighters were Al Morea, Josh Sturgis, Jason Abbey, pat Whalen, Nick Schulz, and Dustin Lucius.
