
Solicitation Ordinance
According to Section 23-1 of the City of Fenton Code of Ordinances, door-to-door
soliciting and peddling is restricted within the City Limits.
“The practice of going in and upon private residences in the city by
solicitors peddlers, hawkers, itinerant merchants or transient vendors of merchandise,
not having been requested or invited so to do by the owner or occupant of the
private residence, for the purpose of soliciting orders for the sale of goods,
wares, merchandise, services, or subscriptions, and/or peddling or hawking
the same, is prohibited”
Notary Services
The City of Fenton has a number of certified and bonded Notary Publics at City Hall, who are available to offer notary services at no charge for your convenience.
Business Licensing
The City of Fenton is reviewing the present provisions of Business Licensing. Currently, licensing is required for business owners operating Pool Halls, Amusement Devices (i.e., arcade games), Dance Halls, Dog Kennels, Food establishments operating during the hours of 12:00 am and 6:00 am, Outdoor Gatherings (i.e., concerts), Pushcarts and Food Vendors, Sign Contractors, Taxi Cabs, and Tree Trimming.
